How To Iron Velour Sweatsuits
As you might have noticed velour sweatsuits can be hard to iron, because of the type of the fabric. But don't worry you can manage to iron it in a way that reserves it's beautiful soft look. Velour is most often used for sweatsuits, but there are many other types of clothing as well that use this wonderful fabric. You can use these instructions with any type of velour clothes. Although velour seldon need ironing knowning how to iron it might come handy some day. It very easy to do. All you need is a very thick terry cloth towel, an ironing board and an iron in addition to you sweatsuit.
First you need to put the towel on top of your ironing board. Adjust your iron to a low heat setting. A steam iron is preferable, but a standard iron will do just fine.
Now put your sweatsuit on top of the towel with the fluffy side down. Never iron the right side of the fabric directly as it will crush it damaging the fabric.

You can increase the hear of your iron if your don't notice any damage to the fabric. Just remember to test the higher setting in an unnoticeable spot before ironing the whole suit.
When ironing always keep the towel under the fabric and do not apply too much pressure. When you are down hang the clothes to a cool and dry place. Try to avoid touching the right side of the fabric so it does not damage the pile.
